Welcome, summer.
Hello! Hello!
How was your Memorial Day weekend? Relaxing? Exhausting? Fun?
I’m going with a combo of all three. Our town actually has a big Memorial Day celebration. The streets get packed with tourists and vendors selling everything and anything from crab cakes to spoon artwork on Saturday. It’s a lot of fun and a little overwhelming all at once. (Our town is usually so quiet that it’s strange to face so many people.) Then on Sunday, there’s a big raft race and after party at a dock bar. We skipped the raft race this year. (I’m of the belief that if you’ve seen one raft race, you’ve seen them all.) But we did make it to the after party. I did a lot of babysitting (some people had too much fun) but, even so, it was nice to get out of the house and socialize.
And you know, sport some new sunglasses. These Madewell sunnies are just lovely.
I also had my first taste of summer.
Can you beat fresh, local berries? They taste like little bursts of sweet heaven.
I cannot wait to spend the summer picking berries and peaches.
And I must admit, after just one hot and humid weekend, it definitely feels like summer…
Xo.

I miiiiight just have to buy the same sunglasses as you. Is that creepy??
Not at all ; )
