In the kitchen
Have you been busy lately? I feel like the past few days have been a whirlwind.
Last night I finally had a chance to run to the grocery store. It was a rough start. Dennis has been borrowing my car for the past week since his truck is in the shop, so last night was the first night that I’ve been in my car for a full week. I was not happy to see the liberties he took with its interior. The empty diet coke bottles and reorganization of my papers sent me on a bit of a tailspin. If you know me and my perfectionist tendencies, you know not to mess with my stuff. I guess Dennis missed the memo.
I managed my distress by walking the aisles of the grocery store. It always calms me down. And then I realized that I was being a bit pathetic and that it was time to move on. So move on I did.
I bought a bunch of ingredients to make some very special treats this week. I have quite lofty goals.
Classic Christmas cookies from Real Simple
And on the savory side…
and Chicken Tetrazinni from Martha Stewart.
Yum! I cannot wait to get into the kitchen and to stay away from my car. Ha.
Xo.

Those truffles look lush, they’re definatley going in my festive hamper this year!
I can be the same way with messes and “Reorganization” of my stuff. I too have learned that sometimes it is just better to let it go.
Let us know how the pasta dishes turn out… they look delicious!
Merry Christmas!
