Water for a Cause
There’s nothing like washing your gym clothes by hand at 6 am in the sink.
I’ve been experiencing a few technical difficulties the past few days. Our washer broke Saturday night. Dennis blamed me. Did I mention his back has been out and that he’s super grumpy? Yep. Good times.
I do admit to putting clothes in the washer, adding detergent, and then pushing start. But I doubt that these actions lead to the washer’s demise.
I did, however, have a hand in breaking our 1-year-old steam mop. Oops. I was washing the floors and, next thing I knew, the handle fell off and the machine stopped working. I think Black and Decker owes me a new one. Handles should not fall off unless that’s the objective.
I’m beginning to think that the universe is trying to tell me something. I agree, universe. I should not be cleaning.
I know I am very lucky to be having such small issues to deal with. Very lucky, indeed. That’s why I think it’s important to give back, especially this time of year.
I saw this story on the Today Show back in August. Oh, my goodness did it make me cry. I think it’s so touching, horrible, and beautiful all at once.

This holiday season, I will most definitely be donating to Rachel’s cause. I hope you do too. Or to any cause that touches your heart.
I am lucky to have clean water even if it means dirty clothes and floors sometimes.
Happy almost Thanksgiving!
Xo.
