Amazing Grass Giveaway!

2009 June 26
by sarahdbelle

Remember yesterday how I mentioned that I got a package from Amazing Grass? Well, it turns out that I can’t eat the bars they sent me due to my peanut/nut allergy. So, they’re up for grabs if anyone is interested ; )

You’ll get 3 of each- Chocolate and Original. They sound great and have wonderful nutritional stats. To enter, just comment here about why you’re interested in Amazing Grass. The contest ends next Wednesday, July 1st. (For an extra chance to win, link back to this post, add me to your blog roll, or send me an e-mail at sarahssweetlips@gmail.com if you don’t have a blog.)

So it was a sad day in zumba news, my friend Tessa taught her last zumba class this morning. (She’s moving with her husband to VA beach at the end of July.) It’s going to be so weird not taking zumba a million times a week. I’ll just have to make due. Plus, I’ll miss her!

I also got up bright and early this morning (5:45 am!!) to let the dog I’m watching for a coworker out. I did a walk/run for time and energy’s sake because I needed to get to zumba by 7 am. Boy, it was hot out even this early. I came home a sweaty, sweaty mess.

After all my exercising, I had a filling and fabulous breakfast- fruit, vanilla oikos, and kashi golean crunch. Love this breakfast!

Oh, and last night was pretty great, too. I had zumba then lifted weights and did ab exercises until the gym closed at 6:30 pm. Dennis requested Pizza Hut lasagna. I tried to talk him out of it by suggesting lasagna from the local Italian restaurant instead, but Pizza Hut was what he wanted. So, I drove to Pizza Hut. As soon as I stepped in the door it brought back so many memories. See, I waitressed at a Pizza Hut from ages 16- 21 in my hometown. It was my first job, and I worked there every summer and winter break. It payed for all of my room and board 4 years of college. I made awesome tips because the turnaround was so fast. Ironically, I never ate one slice of pizza when I worked there. A breadstick here and there or maybe the salad bar, but I really wasn’t and still am not a huge fan of their pizza. Even though it was a different restaurant, it looked almost exactly the same. Weird.

For my own dinner, I decided to make the organic pizza buried in the freeze. I added mushrooms and oregano to it, and it was just perfect.

I also had some cantaloupe stuffed with blueberries. Absolutely sweet and summery.

Then I finished the Jillian book and headed to bed early. Just my kind of night ; )

Happy, happy Friday!

I would love to try the amazing grass bars, I can’t get them here where I live. They are expensive to order though! I eat bars in the morning on my way home from work…usually Larabars and some variety would be nice.

That pizza looks so good…I would kill someone for pizza right now, but alas I can’t eat cheese!! So so so sad.

  24. 2009 June 27

I like them because Amazing Grass products are amazingly nutritious.

I really want to try Amazing Grass because I’ve heard so much about it and would give me a reason to drink smoothies more often :)

Thanks! (first time reader, by the way)

I will link back on my next post.

I’m so sorry you can’t enjoy them. I’ve never tried the bars, but have been trying the different flavors of the packets in smoothies, yum! I really enjoy them because I can get my greens while on the go, or if I didn’t get enough that day!
