It’s Contest Time!

March 17, 2009

I love a good snack plate, that’s for sure. I especially love eating them for lunch. You get so many tastes and flavors to tempt your taste buds.

Today, I opted for a fab combo. It included Garden of Eatin’ Red Hot and Blue chips. These things are dangerous; they’re spicy, delicious, and addicting. I also had some sabra, 3 mozarella balls, and veggies (spinach- because it’s a green type of day, broccoli, cauliflower, and grape tomatoes). Yum!

    I’d love to win because the weather is getting nicer and I don’t want to spend hours in the gym pumping iron when I can do it for 20 mins at home, then go out for a run :)

    I would like to win this DVD because it seems perfect for me. I am in recovery for distorted eating and am under doctor’s orders to avoid cardio and gain some healthy muscle tone. I hate not being able to go running and don’t have money to spend on a gym membership. This DVD would help me gain muscle without going to the gym.

    So I can workout at home on those days when I just don’t feel like getting my stuff together and trekking it to the gym! And so my abs will look like Jillian Michaels!

    I have heard such good things about this video/work out DVD! I would love to give it a try, but already pay for the gym, so can’t really justify buying another workout item. However, winning one, that is a different story!

    with one of my family members being sick and me taking care of her i have not been able to go to the gym as she needs almost constsnt supervision i would greatly apprieciate this workout video!

    I would love to win a copy of the 30 day shred! Being away at college i usually tend to just do cardio at the gym because the weight room intimidates me with all those crazy buff macho guys. I really want to start strength training because I’m really trying to incorporate weights into my workout routine. I also hope it will help with my weightloss! (so far 10 pounds! woo) I realllllllly would love the 30 day shred because I would be able to do it in my room and still getting a great workout!

    I would like a copy since I’m a student traveling around the country (I move every month) doing anesthesia rotations. If I had “The Shred”..I could take it with me and pop it into my laptop and do it wherever I am at. This would make my life soooooooo nice!!!

    I would love to have this video! It seems everyone is participating in the 30-day Shred over on Caitlin’s blog but I can’t join! If I had this video, I would so totally start the day I get it! 20 minutes is definitely doable. Plus, I’m watching Biggest Loser right now and Jillian’s expressions & attitude is totally hilarious and motivating!

    I just found your site today through “The Healthy Tipping Point”.. and am definitely adding your site to my favorites. It looks great! I’m just beginning the blog thing, and can see by the quality of yours and many others that I have a long way to go!
    Anyways, I would LOVE to win this copy, as I desperately need to get in really great shape within in the next 7 weeks. I live in Saskatchewan, Canada, and we still have TONS of snow on the ground, and I am getting so tired of working out at the gym when I could be doing an even better work out with Jillian in my own home!

    Thank you for the contest! I’d love to win a copy. I want to challenge myself and see what I can do. I’ve been reading Caitlin and Meghann’s progress and it’s a great detour from their normal routines. Your body can get use to those routines. The Shred would be a great spice to add to my workout.

    I am a runner and 2 weeks ago I had a bioelectrical impedance analysis (say that 5 times fast) done – to check body fat/muscle composition. It said I have strong legs, decent arms and THE WEAKEST CORE KNOWN TO MANKIND. Ok, maybe the printout didn’t use those exact words, but it was moreorless the gist of it. I need to mix in something else and have been eyeballing the Shred ever since.

    Hi there – love the blog. I think I should win b/c I am about to have a baby and will have to be doing some workouts at home as I get back in shape. I was training for a half ironman when I got preggo and totally got lazy the last tri so I have a lot to lose. Jillian’s DVD would really help me out and since I won’t be going back to work for a while, a prize would help my budget! I will link back to you.

    I’ve read so much about this DVD on various blogs and would love to try it out myself. After having run 5 marathons in the past 3 years I’ve found myself in a running rut and totally unwilling to get out there. I think this DVD would give me a great push to get back into some daily exercise.

    Hey Sarah!

    I’d LOVE to win the Jillian Michaels DVD because:

    1) I know I’ll never be on TBL BUT why should that keep me from experiencing the pure intimidation and rockin’ awesomeness that is Ms. Jillian!?!

    2) I’m an opera singer aka I work in the arts aka we don’t get paid much aka I had to cut workout dvds out of the budget

    3) Two words: bikini season

    4) I’m proud to say that all winter long (yup, even on the snowstorm days) when everyone else was cozy at home I got my butt to the gym and worked it OUT! (small disclaimer- my gym is across the street but that still counts, right!)

    5) For the past 6 months I’ve been doing the same strength workout that I copied from an Oprah magazine 5 yrs ago! They’ve probably invented new moves that I don’t even know about! Suffice to say, I would LOVE the dvd and put it to good use :)

    I love Jillian Michaels – she is an absolute animal. I’ve just recently added her on-demand workout into my regular (pretty minimal effort) cardio workout and have seen definite results. She’s kind of scary… but in a very motivating kind of way. I need more!

    I am a first degree black belt and will soon be testing for my 2nd degree! This DVD would be awesome to help supplement my training. My Instructor has his own “5 Minute Workout” that we do in class sometimes and this would be great to show him also! We’re always looking for new ideas and new moves to teach in class!

    I’d love to win the dvd because although I love to run, I have a hard time staying interested in weight lifting and knowing what type of things to do. The 30-day shred would be the perfect way to stay motivated and I know I’d enjoy the challenge.

    I would really like this DVD because I have never done anything like it and keep hearing how great it is. I typically just run and running leads to injuries. I want to develop a more well rounded exercise regime.
    This DVD would also be great for traveling. No worrying about finding a good running route or staying in a hotel with a gym. Plus, I would do this when I couldn’t sleep at night or if I was bored one afternoon, but didn’t feel like making a trip to the gym.
    I am really excited to possibly win this!
