Almost there?
Well, I thought I was almost back to perfect health. Maybe not. I ate a bowl of Amy’s No Chicken Noodle Soup for lunch because, you know, soup is supposed to be good for you when you’re sick. It tasted okay. I didn’t mind that tofu replaced chicken in this soup, but it tasted kind of…funny. I love Amy’s other products, but this soup tasted fake in my opinion. Maybe I just don’t like canned soups. Or maybe I just don’t like this version of Amy’s canned soup. Either way, I don’t think I’ll be purchasing this product again.
I also had two slices of whole wheat potato bread with a tiny spread of Country Crock. I loved how simple and good this tasted.
I won’t go into detail, but lunch did not sit so well. Ugh. My stomach hurts right now, so I’m eating a few pretzels and drinking some pedialyte (yes, pedialyte is for children and, when I bought it, the girl at the counter asked me if it was for my baby. No, I don’t have a baby, but I think pedialyte really helps me feel better when I’m sick. Plus it now comes in singles sort of like a juice cooler which tends to cheer me up. You know, it really is the little things in life ; ).
And maybe my stomach doesn’t hurt because I’m sick but because I saw the grossest thing walking back from lunch. I live in Maryland in a pretty rural area, which means there are a lot of duck hunters and hunters in general. Someone left a pile of dead ducks and decoys in his (or her) truck, parked right outside of the college where I work. I took a picture, but it’s really disgusting, so I’m not going to post it. But, you know what, when I saw it, I was very happy that I had no chicken noodle soup for lunch.
Hope you have lovely afternoons!
